Character | Description |
Jean Horton | Ex celebrated soprano singer but now penniless and vulnerable. Clings to the memory of her operatic heyday when she was a diva. She is poised but frail and irritable. Suffers from a bad hip and walks with a stick. Was once married to Reg. |
Cecily Robson | Scatty and excitable. Always means well and is full of energy. She is a mezzo singer but past her prime and drifting into dementia. The target of Wilf’s lustful affection. |
Wilfred Bond | Jovial rascal and lovable rogue. Outspoken and flirtatious especially with Cecily. He is insecure though and can’t come to terms with the ageing process. Baritone singer. Neglectful of his appearance and walks with a stick. |
Reginald Paget | Collar and tie man. Fastidious, occasionally volatile. Stickler for facts. Life not fulfilled but has found his niche in the home. Tenor singer. Was married in the past to Jean. |
